Throughout the year, learning has extended beyond the classroom and the school day through our successful Clwb Cymraeg extra-curricular club, which provides children with the opportunity to develop their understanding of the Welsh language and culture. The club meets weekly during lunchtime and has been very well attended, with children demonstrating excellent commitment and enthusiasm throughout the year.

Members of Clwb Cymraeg have enjoyed learning Welsh through a variety of engaging activities, including songs, games and creative arts. They have also produced artwork celebrating important aspects of Welsh culture and heritage, helping to deepen their appreciation and understanding of Wales.

To celebrate a fantastic year of learning, the children enjoyed a special end of year Welsh themed party, where they sang songs, took part in craft activities and shared some traditional treats together.

We were also delighted to receive a special video message from Yvonne Evans, weather presenter for BBC S4C. The children were thrilled to hear from her and greatly enjoyed this memorable experience. A huge thank you goes to Molly’s mum and dad in Year 2 for helping Mrs Birchall make contact with Yvonne. We are extremely grateful for their support in making this wonderful opportunity possible for our Clwb Cymraeg members.
